Ecommerce analytics, which is part of Google Analytics, is very useful to understand which sources of traffic are most profitable as well as where you are losing sales.
Product List Performance
A product list is a page where multiple products are listed such as a category page or search results. You can see views, clicks, add to carts and checkouts as well as unique purchases, revenue and CTR (click-through ratio).
Product performance tracks individual products by name and/or sku. You can see the metrics for each product: revenue, quantity, averages, cart-to-detail, buy-to-detail ratios. If you have a high cart-to-detail but low buy-to-detail ratio you’ll know you need to optimize the checkout process.
